Hotel Policies & Guidelines

Payment: Full payment of the reservation is required at check-in.

Late-Night Arrivals: Guests arriving after 2:00 AM must contact us in advance to make arrangements.

Noise: Please refrain from loud music. Quiet hours are observed from 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM to ensure the comfort of all guests.

Smoking: Smoking inside the building is strictly prohibited. A $200 cleaning fee will be charged for violations, as smoking affects the health and comfort of other guests and staff.

Housekeeping: Available from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. To have your room serviced, please place the housekeeping tag on your doorknob by 12:00 PM.

Lobby Hours: Open daily from 8:00 AM – 3:00 AM.

Pets: While we love animals, pets are not permitted to ensure the comfort of all guests.

Personal Belongings: The hotel is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Damages: Guests are responsible for any damages to hotel property (including stains, burns, cuts, or other damage) during their stay.

Liability: The hotel is not responsible for personal injuries on or off the property, nor for incidents occurring during tours or activities outside the hotel.

Packages: Unfortunately, we cannot accept deliveries or packages on behalf of guests.

Right of Admission: We reserve the right to deny or revoke admission at our discretion.

Important Note: Please note that our hotel does not have an elevator. Guestrooms are accessible via one flight of stairs to the second floor and two easy flights to the third floor. Our team is always happy to assist with luggage to make your stay more comfortable

Cancellation Policy

Please read our cancellation policy carefully, as it is not common for us to make an exception for it. In order to avoid any misunderstandings, we would appreciate your paying attention to the following:


  • Please check with the details of your booking that you made
  • Date changes must be made with the travel agency you booked with.
  • If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the paid nights will not be refundable.
  • In case the guest simply does not show up (and does not cancel in advance), the total price of the reservation will be charged and this will be non-refundable.

We’re happy to welcome walk-in guests at Somos Hotel San Juan, subject to room availability. To ensure a smooth check-in process and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all guests, please review the following policy:

Identification & Age Requirements

  • A valid government-issued photo ID is required at check-in.
  • Guests must be 18 years or older.

Payment & Deposit

  • Full payment for the entire stay is required at check-in.
  • A valid credit or debit card must be presented and pre-authorized for any remaining balance and incidentals.
  • Cash payments are not accepted.

Room Rates & Availability

  • Rooms are assigned based on current availability at the time of arrival.
  • Walk-in guests are charged the standard daily rate.

Check-In & Check-Out Times

  • Check-in: 4:00 PM
  • Check-out: 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and incur a fee of $44.99.

Length of Stay

  • Walk-in stays are limited to a maximum of 14 nights without manager approval.
  • Extensions are subject to availability and must be fully prepaid.

Guest Conduct & Right to Refuse Service

Management reserves the right to refuse service to any individual who:

  • Fails to provide valid ID or required payment
  • Appears intoxicated, disruptive, or disorderly
  • Poses a threat to the safety, comfort, or wellbeing of other guests or staff
